EGFP-cy3 mRNA emits orange fluorescence with maximum excitation at ~550 nm and emission at ~570 nm. It also enables the expression of a red fluorescent protein EGFP in cells, organoids, or in vivo, with maximum excitation at ~488 nm and emission at ~509 nm. The Cy3 fluorescence can be utilized to track and localize the mRNA, while the detection of EGFP fluorescence serves to validate mRNA translation efficiency.
